When this video first came out on TEDx website, something inside me wanted to hide it. Here I'm standing on stage barefoot, revealing my search for freedom - the flight of a bird who refuses cages, the fight of a woman who soars. My story.
I rehearsed this talk 3 times with my husband - in all of them - I couldn't go till the end. But when I was finally on stage, I did - with tears in my eyes, with smiles on my lips, with an explosion of courage in my chest.
Maybe it'll inspire your own search for freedom. We all need to begin, someday, somewhere, somehow.
